On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Sheriff T.K. Waters held a town hall meeting to introduce the citizens of Jacksonville to new public safety initiatives and unveil new boundaries for patrol response.
Since taking office in November 2022, Sheriff Waters and his team have been laser focused on implementing various initiatives all aimed at making Jacksonville an even better place to live and raise a family.
Nearly one-thousand members of the community attended Wednesday night's event where they got a firsthand look of their new districts, a glimpse of JSO's new patrol vehicles and the opportunity to learn about initiatives such as
ConnectDuval and the
Unsolved Crimes Page.
The boundaries for patrol response have not been addressed for more than two decades and when Sheriff Waters took office this was a top priority. Through data driven research the boundaries have been reconstructed to effectively and efficiently serve today’s Jacksonville. The future of patrol services in Jacksonville will go into effect on Saturday, July 29, 2023. For more information about JSO's new districts, please visit the
